I’m passionate about Italy, and this passion is why I’ve spent the last twenty years exploring Italy from top to bottom, from the snow-capped Dolomite mountains in the north, to the great cities like Rome, Florence and Venice, from the rolling hills and small towns of Tuscany and Umbria, to the ancient whitewashed villages of southern Italy and the remote Sicilian Islands.

I’ve visited countless cities and towns, hundreds of hotels, and I’ve logged thousands of kilometers to discover every region of the country, to find only the places which truly capture the Italian culture and spirit. And all of this with the hope that I might share with you the traveler my love of this beautiful land and help you to experience many of the same wonderful places that I have.
And to facilitate that experience, I’ve assembled an outstanding group of friendly, knowledgeable and passionate Italian tour professionals to take you to these same places, becoming your Italian friend and personal assistant, to help you discover as I have what the real Italy is all about.

The Abruzzo is one of Italy’s most beautiful regions, a land of majestic mountains and cozy hilltop towns dotting the landscape, where life continues to maintain centuries-old traditions. Famous for its outstanding cuisine, “abruzzese” cooking is second to none, utilizing only the high-quality local ingredients and locally produced wines like the excellent Montepulciano d’Abruzzo.
And of course there’s timeless Rome, where all Italian roads do lead- a capital city with a distinct working class cuisine, unique street foods and pasta dishes, and of course home to innumerable historic sites dating back two millennia to the peak of the Roman empire.
What better way to discover the unique cuisine of the Abruzzo region and Rome than with Mary Ann Esposito, host of the longest running cooking show on public television, Ciao Italia, since its debut in 1989. Mary Ann will travel with the group throughout the entire tour and conduct two hands-on cooking lessons in which she’ll help you to prepare her favorite regional recipes.
